2019: The Supreme Court failed...
Reactor Suppliers Lawsuit
Heute, 2 7.07.2019 erhielten wir die Nachricht, dass "the Supreme Court Failed a Constitutional Judgement in a Constitutional Suit", datiert vom 30. Januar 2019. Wir dokumentieren hier die ganze Nachricht.
"Dear Overseas Plaintiffs,
On January 24, 2019, the Supreme Court sent the final decision to the attorney's office. It was a dismissal of our appeal. Because of the three-trial system, we cannot go further to the higher court; it means that the judicial contest is over.
We held the 4th general assembly of the plaintiffs and the group of attorneys on June 15, 2019. We inform you our decision that the plaintiffs' organization will be dissolved on July 31, 2019.
The following is the statement of the plaintiffs and the group of attorneys of the lawsuit against the nuclear reactor suppliers. We had a press conference to make the statement public on Jan. 30.
We will keep our homepage for ten years from now on. And we want to share information on the website if we have any further ideas to go together. Please visit the website from time to time at http://nonukesrights.holy.jp/

2019: Statement on the SK-NK-US Meeting at Panmunjom

Statement on the SK-NK-US Meeting at Panmunjom
Let Us Prepare for a New Day of Peaceful Coexistence:
A Statement on the Meeting of Leaders at Panmunjom
We at the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) welcome positively this meeting of South-North-U.S. leaders at Panmunjom. The third summit between President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong-un at Panmunjom was a gateway through which we must pass toward permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula. This meeting occurred through the implementation of the previous military agreement between the two Koreas, based on the actual environment of non-militarization of Panmunjom, with the independent arbitration of President Moon Jae-in, and the appropriate response from the leaders of North Korea and the U.S. Following the lead of the Inter-Korean Panmunjom Summit in April of last year, this meeting has turned Panmunjom, once a symbol of division, into a symbol of peace. This can be seen as the fruit of the sincere commitment of the three leaders to reconstruct the Division/Korean War system, the Panmunjom system, into a Korean Peninsula system of peace and co-existence.

30 years after the Tiananmen massacre, can Japan do more to keep its memory alive?
BY JESSE JOHNSON
Three decades after the Chinese Communist Party’s bloody crackdown on pro-democracy student protests in Tiananmen Square, the memory survives — despite the country’s attempts to stamp it out.
