DAY 66 Prayer for Peaceful Reunification

**************

Grant peace in the love of Christ to the North Korean refugees who have settled in South Korea.

God of the diaspora, many are immigrating and moving to various parts of the globe in search of new lives. Our North Korean brothers and sisters are in that situation. Some have moved to China or other countries seeking a livelihood. Some of these sisters and brothers have migrated to South Korea to live together with us. It is not easy for them to settle and adapt to this society after the long years of division. May we now reflect and repent of our myopic absorption with planting churches in North Korea, without taking specific actions toward reunification. Forgive us our foolishness in merely pitying the arriving refugees, or agreeing to meet with them only on the condition that they accept the Christian faith. May we be the first to be transformed, so that we may embrace them as one family under God, accept their differences, and help them feel secure. As we wait for the day of our gathering as brothers and sisters, may we, with Christlike hearts, take the first step in approaching the refugees as members of our family.
We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
