DAY 46 Prayer for Peaceful Reunification

남북한 간에 핵무장과 재래식 무기의 경쟁을 멈추고 “칼을 쳐서 보습을 만드는” 역사가 한반도에서 이루어지게 하옵소서.

사랑의 하나님, 이 땅은 분단 70년의 세월 동안 하나님의 은혜로 고난을 넘어 왔나이다. 총과 칼로 대치하는 전쟁의 포화 속에서 무너지지 않도록 붙들어 주셔서 감사합니다. 이제는 분단을 넘어 통일을 이루되, 전쟁이 아니라 하나님의 방법으로 평화롭게 이루게 하옵소서. 무기를 높이 쌓으며 핵으로 무장하는 어리석음을 벗어나게 하옵소서. 오직 하나님의 평화에 의지하는 믿음의 민족이 되게 하옵소서. 

하나님, 세상은 남과 북이 서로 대립하게 하고, 통일을 가로 막고 있나이다. 북한은 핵으로 무장하며 전쟁으로 위협하고, 남한 또한 맞서서 대항하려고 힘을 다하고 있습니다. 남과 북간의 상황을 반전시켜 주옵소서. 이 땅에 하나님의 섭리와 통치와 경륜을 허락하여 주옵소서. 한반도에서 칼을 쳐서 보습을 만드는 역사가 이루어지게 하옵소서. 이 땅을 통하여서 하나님의 통치하심을 온 열방이 보게 하여 주옵소서. 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

May the North and the South stop their nuclear and conventional arms race, and "beat their swords into plowshares."

Loving God, we have passed through 70 years of division, by your grace. Thank you for protecting us from a fallback into war under the tense ceasefire. Now, let us depart from division and arrive at unity, not through war but in peace. Save us from the foolishness of the nuclear arms race. May we be a people of faith, trusting in your peace.

God, the world stands in the way of reunification, causing the North and the South to stay in opposition. North Korea is arming itself with nuclear weapons and making threats of war, and the South is exerting all its efforts to oppose the North. Reverse this situation in both the North and the South. Let us enjoy your will, your reign and your governance in this land. May the swords be beaten into plowshares. Through Korea, let the world see that you reign.
