DAY 13 Prayer for Peaceful Reunification

Korea Times headlines claim "South-North relations enter new phase". Let us continue to pray.

May the diaspora churches and overseas Koreans share Christ’s love with the North Koreans through continuing humanitarian aid.

Merciful God, help us to prepare the way as we wait for the day of reunification. Help the North and the South to communicate with each other. May we rediscover our oneness, overcoming the hostilities of the past. May helping hands continue to support those who are suffering in North Korea, and in the process may we realize that we are sisters and brothers in God’s love.

God, there are over 7 million in the global Korean diaspora. May they be instruments of your love and peace, fulfilling their calling to work for Korea’s reunification. Open wide the path for their free communication with North Koreans. Use them as your bridge toward peaceful reunification. Lend them your strength, courage and capacity, and guide them according to your will. Through your power, may they be instruments of your peace.

해외 교회들과 해외 동포들이 북한 동포들을 위하여 인도적 지원 사업을 전개하여 그리스도의 사랑을 나누게 하옵소서.

자비로우신 하나님! 저희들이 통일의 날을 기다리며, 그 날을 위해 징검다리를 놓게 하여 주시옵소서. 남북이 소통하게 하여 주시옵소서. 지난 시절의 반목을 벗어나 한 겨레 동포임을 확인하게 하옵소서. 북한 동포들의 고통을 안타깝게 여기며 돕는 손길이 멈추지 않게 하옵소서. 그리하여 주님의 사랑의 능력 안에서 우리가 한 형제임을 깨닫게 하옵소서. 

하나님, 온 세계에 7백 만 명이 넘는 해외 동포들이 흩어져 살고 있습니다. 이들이 주님의 사랑과 평화의 도구가 되어 통일을 위한 사명을 잘 감당하게 하옵소서. 이들이 북한의 동포들과 자유스럽게 소통하도록 길을 넓게 열어 주시옵소서. 저들을 주님의 도구로 사용하사 평화 통일의 징검다리가 되게 하옵소서. 저들에게 힘과 용기와 능력을 더하시고, 마음과 뜻을 주관하여 주옵소서. 주님의 능력 안에서 평화의 도구가 되게 하옵소서. 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
