DAY 09 Prayer for Peaceful Reunification

God of life, protect the lives and bodies of North Koreans crossing borders in search of a livelihood.

God of life, protect North Korean citizens who cross their border seeking a livelihood. Give them strength and keep them from fall¬ing as they walk through unfamiliar foreign lands. Keep them from the dangers of frostbite, harsh chill, blazing summer and desperate hunger. May they safely cross dangerous rivers, and escape harm in the darkness. We pray especially for your protection of the children, women, the elderly and disabled persons. Hold the vulnerable in your hands. Embrace them until they are settled in new lands. We pray that you will protect their lives and keep them safe. 

Merciful God, relieve the North Korean economy, that none may go hungry. Holy Spirit, work in us that the South may share our food with the North. May the day come quickly when North and South, in mutual trust, stop our war and share our food.
We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

생명의 하나님, 살 길을 찾아서 국경을 넘는 북한 주민들의 생명과 신체의 안전을 지켜 주시옵소서.

생명의 하나님, 살 길을 찾아 국경을 넘는 북한주민을 보호하여 주시옵소서. 이들이 낯선 땅, 머나먼 길을 걸어갈 때 넘어지지 않도록 힘을 주시옵소서. 동상의 위험과 혹독한 추위와 뜨거운 여름의 더위와 배고픔에서 지켜주시옵소서. 강물의 위험을 넘게 하시고, 어둠의 위험에서 보호하옵소서. 연약한 어린 아이들, 여성들, 노약자들을 특별히 지켜 주시옵소서. 상처입기 쉬운 연약한 마음을 붙들어 주시옵소서. 이들이 새로운 삶의 터전에 정착할 때까지 품어 주시옵소서. 이들의 생명을 지키시고 신변을 보호하여 주시기를 간절히 기도합니다. 

자비의 하나님, 북한의 경제가 호전되어 배고프지 않고 사는 사회가 되게 하옵소서. 남북 간에 식량을 서로 나눌 수 있도록 성령께서 역사하여 주시옵소서. 남북 간에 상호 신뢰하여 전쟁을 억제하고 식량을 나누는 날이 조속히 오도록 인도하시기를 간절히 기도합니다. 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
